Nurturing Growth Through Play
We believe the best way young children learn is through being active and involved in exploring the world around them. Play is a major and very important part of our day. We believe in incorporating academic skills through theme-based activities while giving the individual child the autonomy to explore their own interests.
Reggio Inspired Principles
The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy that focuses on child-centered education. This philosophy is based on the belief that children are capable, curious, creative and competent. We believe that letting children explore their curiosities and interests leads to greater understanding and a strong desire to learn.
Nature Based Learning
"Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better."
-Albert Einstein
Our outdoor space is our main classroom and believe children learn best in natural spaces. We are currently in the process of getting certified as a wildlife habitat and enjoy having the children involved in the process. Our front yard is designed for exploration and the children are encouraged to be actively involved in gardening and learning about nature. Our space is also home to two dogs, one cat and occasionally some chickens, all friendly and kept separate from the children unless interaction is requested by parent/guadian.
